You don't realise how much you miss it till you get it...sun that is. We love the North East, but we were never promised warmth. Indeed, despite the all-year-round tee-shirt-wearing habits of our friends in the NE of England, we still pop another 'pully' on when the east wind blows.
Here, in Andalucia, the wind is a pleasant relief from the heat of the sun. Sunsets abound and the evening comes alive as shops open and restaurants buzz with excited chatter. We retire to the hills with a good book, some music and a glass of something chilled, before nibbling tapas and watching the sun go down and the sky light up. Heavenly.
